Win the battle and approach your first Cube to regain some abilities, including Luffy's abilities to break certain blocks and reach places with his Gum-Gum Rocket. A battle you cannot run away from will trigger, involving a big yellow squirrel. Once you've made your 2nd save file, progress through the cave. Inside, there's a save point make a NEW save file, so when you get this achievement, you can exit the game and start back to Aido & Lim's house and redo your progress, BUT this time you can fight the enemies and gain EXP and such. Once the battle starts, press and select "Run Away. Keep it in front of you - do NOT turn your back on it, or else it'll give the enemies a bonus stat against you. Soon as the battle starts, hit and choose "Run Away." Move on in the direction of the Sea Cave that Aido's leading you to, and you'll approach a shelled seaslug-like creature that will approach you when it sees you (a Red "crossed-swords" symbol will appear over it. The achievement didn't pop then, so I had to keep on playing until I got it.Īpproaching an enemy Eisa (the silly-looking monkeys) with its back to you will trigger an explanation about Hostility and how approaching unaware enemies from behind will give you a bonus stat. I tried quitting after my first 2 battles and before I went inside the cave (without saving), and then reloading my save and redid my first battle to escape again. NOTE: This achievement HAS to be done in one sitting as it isn't tracked normally by Xbox (IE the progress isn't tracked when you look under the game's list of achievements). Make a save file at Aido & Lim's house, and then talk to Aido and follow the path (the one with the red "!" sign on the mini-map) to Circular Inland Sea. So, you just need to progress through the game into Chapter 1. This takes a bit as the first several battles you fight (when you're looking for Nami) are forced so you cannot run away from those fights. When successful, the enemy you approached or had approached you, along with everyone in its party, will vanish this means you lose a chance to gain EXP and such, but going for this achievement this early in the game to get it out of the way is a necessary evil. To run away from a battle, you need to press to open the Tactics menu, and "Run Away" is at the bottom.
